Signal Mountain Christian School needed a website that reflected a more accurate picture of who they are and what they offer. They are a unique school in many ways, and they needed to show that. SMCS is outgrowing its temporary facilities on the campus of Wayside Presbyterian Church, and has developed plans to acquire land for its own campus, and construct suitable buildings and facilities. And just like they have outgrown their current facilities, they had also outgrown their website which was outdated and slightly prehistoric looking. It did not adequately reflect the emphasis they put on excellence for all aspects of life—spiritual, academic, professional, and personal.

Not only did they need a professional looking site, but they also wanted a "warm" site that invited people in and reflected their inclusive personality. They wanted to feature their own children's pictures on the site, so we made the home page swap out a new picture every time the page is refreshed. Their teachers also need easy access to update their Classroom Pages so that they can keep the parents informed about assignments and upcoming activities. We added a Content Management System which enables them to control their own pages from any computer. We wanted to give them the flexibility so that they were not limited to editing the website from one specific computer, but from any computer with internet access. We believe this site reflects the outstanding educational environment of SMCS, while also showing the warmth of their faculty and families.
